Keep your body and your mind flexible with yoga- No matter what you’re struggling with, yoga is helpful for everyone in at least one way. Not only does yoga offer many physical benefits, but it also provides mental health and self care benefits for people of all ages and physique.  Yoga relaxes you, helping you fall asleep significantly easier. Sit with your left side against a wall, turn right and lift your legs up to rest against the wall. Make sure your back is on the floor and your bottom is close to the wall.

Breathing exercisesAccording to Newport Academy, 32% Of all American teenagers have an anxiety disorder of some sort. Getting your breathing under control can help you relax when you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious. They can even help you sleep better at night. Breathe with the bubble as it expands and deflates for as long as you need, focusing all your attention into breathing with your tummy, keeping your chest nice and still. Calm Breathe Bubble

Easy sleep tipsMore than likely, you’re awake and thinking about stuff when you should be asleep. The National Sleep Foundation states that over 87% of high school students get significantly less sleep than the recommended eight to ten hours. Sleep is a very important variable for a teenager’s mental and physical health, as well as the growth and development of the brain. Use the 4, 7, 8 breathing method. Breathe in for 4 counts and hold for 7. Now, breathe out for 8 more counts. Repeat this until you feel a pleasant numbness roll over your entire body. Soon, you will start to fall asleep

Coping MethodsAre you struggling to deal with your emotions? Well, you’re not alone. Many Psychologists have stated that more teenagers today deal with depression or anxiety than ever before. Be more creative in your everyday life. Paint a portrait, write a story, make a new dish. Stimulating your brain and senses, to redirect your negative emotions is very stress relieving. Doing what you love can really help you crawl out of the pit of anxiety and stress.
