On Friday, January 19 the boys JV soccer team played against Atascadero at their home game. They went against the “Greyhounds” and there was great competition between both teams. The game took off as a slow start. But they picked up showing more effort and intensity. With the weather being windy, it was hard to predict the ball in the air. The speed of the air over the ball also made it difficult to pass the ball because there would be an additional force.
Boys JV still kept the game going and showed great teamwork. The first half of the game was looking hopeful for the Braves. The ball appeared to stay on Lompoc High’s side after halftime leading them to score. Towards the end of the game the both teams had such a close score almost ending with a tie. But the Greyhounds ended up scoring on them, unfortunately the score being 2-3, the Braves ending with a loss. Boys JV soccer team is hopeful to come back harder for their next game. The boys are also excited to continue watching the team’s progression and continue being collaborative. Afterall every game they play is a stepping stone to help them get better throughout the season.
