School shootings happen every year around the world. In the US, school shootings are getting dangerously high every decade or every year. People say that when school shootings happen, it’s because the shooter is mentally unwell or depressed. People who own guns are using them to hunt or for protections and some just use it to harm children and or to hurt others in the wrong ways. I interviewed a student, and I asked her “why do school shootings impact community safety?” Keira Dohn said, “School shootings impact our community safety because they endanger the children and the people around the area or in the same building as the shooter.” School shootings are really important to talk about in school because it traumatizes the kids, staff, as well as the families and parents. People need to use guns in a proper way not to harm others. In conclusion, school shootings need to decrease around the US or around the world. End gun violence.
