Getting Involved with c/o 2025
So far, it has been quite an informative and fast paced year for everyone. However, incoming high school students are no exception. On Wednesday, March 10th of 2021, the class of 2025 was invited to attend an online “Getting Involved” meeting with many of Lompoc High Schools club organizers, athletic directors, and more.
The meeting was held by Activities Director Kendall Lopez as a way to reach out to the current eighth-graders and encourage them to get involved in any extracurricular activities at LHS. Mrs.Lopez was joined by club organizers, the athletic director, and the counseling department. They provided information on what each club and class was about and then broke off into different groups based on interest. It’s efforts like these that create the unity our school is known for.
Although it can sometimes feel like students are trapped at home, Lompoc High School is working hard to make opportunities to keep the class of 2025 involved. They want nothing more than for everyone to get back into the routine of doing the things they love (safely of course!). All in all, our counselors are ensuring this upcoming year will be filled with many memories, even in spite of COVID-19.
Avery Torres is a Senior at Lompoc High School. She is a student-athlete who has been on the LHS Cheer team for 2 years and is involved in numerous clubs. ...
