Let’s Glow Braves!

“I felt so nervous right as I was about to go on but it gave me so much confidence when we ran on and everyone started cheering!”

Lets Glow Braves!

On September 2nd 2022 Lompoc High school had its fall sports assembly after not having it for 3 years. At this assembly they introduced all the sports that they have at Lompoc High School. Including soccer, volleyball , basketball, baseball, football, girls tennis, girls water polo, and girls golf.

After introducing the all the sports the cheerleaders performed their tribute to them called “Blacklight”. This performance was hosted by LHS Cheer and featured Sapphire and Danceline for two of the routines. One of the most popularly liked dances that they did at this assembly was for football. The Varsity Cheerleaders ran out with football jerseys on and danced to the popular song “Knife Talk”.

After the assembly ended we interviewed a fellow cheerleader, Melanie Cervantes, and we asked how she felt before the assembly started. She then said, “I felt so nervous right as I was about to go on but it gave me so much confidence when we ran on and everyone started cheering!”. She also said that they started to learn the routines during summer in the month of July. We also interviewed Gabby Vega and we asked her how she felt about the assembly. She said that, “I was surprised at how well they did the dances in such a short amount of time. I really enjoyed watching them dance. I liked the theme they did. I think they did a great job.”

Overall the assembly was very lively and it showed how well the cheerleaders are at managing time and putting in all their effort. We thank all the dancers for such an amazing performance.
