Lompoc High School has always had a good football program. This year however something changed within the team. The familiar faces of the coaching staff have been almost completely replaced. New Coaches and a new year, this will be a great adventure.
Coach Jones, who has been coaching the LHS football team for a while expressed “The new coaches are awesome, the kids seem to enjoy them”. A friend of mine Damian Gonzalez also stated “The coaches can be a bit strict but overall they’re great coaches and can really help the team” this is great news for the Braves.
Another new coach is Coach Terrones, who is also a math teacher and also taught the girls basketball last year at LHS. Coach Terrones said “I am excited about the new coaching staff” He says there is a mix of experience with energetic youth and young players want to learn.
Last but not least is Coach Wilson, he thinks the new coaches are amazing and the players also have a lot of potential. The team has had a rocky start to the season but that is expected as both the players and coaches adjust to each other. However we look forward to the future to see how well they work together. Go Braves!
