Starting Off Strong As Dallas Cowboys

Touchdown!! The Dallas Cowboys started their first preseason game against the LA Rams on Sunday, August 11. Unfortunately after a close game they lost 12-13. In the following week, the Dallas Cowboys came back strong and played the Las Vegas Raiders, taking a 27-12 win. Ryan Flournoy, number 18 on the Dallas Cowboys team, scored the first touchdown of the 2024 preseason. The last time the Cowboys faced the Raiders, it was on November 25th, 2021. The Cowboys took a loss 33-36. Adrian Herrera said, “even though we lost the last time we played them, I never stopped believing that we could beat them this time.” He also expressed that “it was a very eventful game.”

Saturday, the 24th, Dallas played the LA Chargers and lost 26-19. The Chargers had the lead by two touchdowns making the score 3-20. Soon after, the Cowboys caught up, making it 19-20. After a hard-fought comeback, the Chargers made the final touchdown to secure their win. On Sunday September 8, the Dallas Cowboys started their first game of the season, which was against the Cleveland Browns. Jonathan Limas explains that “the Cleveland Browns are really good and are favored to win but the Cowboys have a good chance because they just signed a defensive tackle, which was one of their weaknesses.” The Dallas Cowboys also recently signed Ceedee Lamb who has the second highest contract for a non quarterback. Ceedee lamb wants to show that he is worthy of the money he is being paid this season. Trevon Diggs has also recovered from his season ending injury last year. The upcoming Cowboys vs. Browns game will be one to remember.
