Tuesday January 9th was the official start of the season. Their new home field is on grass instead of turf, which is a recent change. Even though this was a significant shift for them, they overcame the difficulty and secured a win against Orcutt academy. The final score was 2-1. Friday’s game against Morro Bay went amazing! LHS won 3-0. Week 1 was a fantastic start to the season.

Week 2 was a blast! The girls played against Santa Ynez and won 3-1. Aundrea Romo (forward player) with helpful assists from the other girls scored 2 goals on Tuesday January 16. We talked to Aundrea Romo and she said, “I was very excited because who doesn’t enjoy scoring? I was happy I got to help my team win against Santa Ynez.” The second game of week 2 unfortunately the girls lost to Templeton. Even though they lost, the girls played amazing and worked under tough circumstances due to the rain.

The start to the season was amazing and we can’t wait to see more great work from the girls. We wish them luck for their next games and until next time Braves!
