A hurricane named Hillary approaches California. But the storm’s impact on the Central Coast remained uncertain. Although some services were telling Santa Barbara County to be prepared. Those in which they live below the wildfire burn scars. The hurricane included packing winds of 140 mph. As the storm moved north it weakened to a tropical storm, tt mainly hit east of Sierra Nevada. However, some rain and wind hit Southern California strongly and ended up extending to Lompoc. “This harmed our wine grapes,” says Kevin Merrill , of Mesa Vineyard Management. He manages the vineyards. Not only this, but the Starlink mission had to be postponed from SpaceX the storm would have impacted the recovery of the first stage rocket. One week later, the tropical storm ended up coming ashore and caused some damages, with an estimate of $2 million in some other cities. In the end, it didn’t really impact Lompoc but it did cause some damages to some cities near us.
